INTRODUCTION
Universal Clips have been suppliers to South African Industry for over thirty years and have their manufacturing facility is situated in Gauteng, South Africa. The company manufacturers many products as well as various metal pressings and wire forming. Universal Clips also has access to R&D facilities. The Company uses many types of steel but is most competitive in the stainless steel arena. The major product lines offered are hose clamps, metal clips and springs and specialised metal pressings.
The Wire Products Division manufacturers wire hose clamps and spring hubcap rings and filter bag cages.
Universal Clips have the ISO/TS 16949-2002 quality registration.
Products are of the highest quality and are exported all over the world, including, USA, EU, Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong.
The company currently employs over a hundred employees and boasts a fully equipped tool room, Zinc plating plant, screw making machines, multipurpose multi slide machines, speciality clamp making machines, as well as various presses from 3 to 300 tonnes.
The company has a fully integrated manufacturing computer system offering versatile and efficient manufacturing lead-times, as well as full 3 D CAD systems and automatic electronically controlled wire cutting machines.
In addition to our country-wide distributors, large stocks of clamps are held in our warehouse to cover a wide range of applications required by Automotive, Industrial, Marine, Agricultural, and Hardware store customers.
MAIN PRODUCT RANGES
Worm drive Hose Clamps.
A full range of hose clamps is available; manufactured in a full range of sizes with 8mm or 12mm bands and in a range of materials from zinc plated through to the full 300 series stainless steel range. Special sizes and designs are made to order. Applications range from Automotive through Industry and Agriculture to Leisure and Domestic applications.
Heavy Duty Bolted Clamps.
Manufactured in a zinc plated mild steel 409 stainless and 316 Stainless Steel in a wide variety of sizes and used mainly in Industrial and Agricultural applications. This range includes the “T” bolt range made in a full 300 series stainless steel configuration, which is widely used in the automotive industry.
Wire Hub Cap Rings, Bands and Clips.
We supply a full range of rings, bangles and clips to the automotive and plastics industry for use on hubcaps and other spring related applications.
Sundry Products and Fastners
We have a range of sundry products that include cable-ties, hand held lamps (lead lights), booster cable clips/pliers, ear crimp clamps, pipe couplings, speciality clamps, and numerous customer specific clips and products.
Filterbag Cages
We have equipment to manufacture customer specific wire cages for the filter bag industry in various lengths, diameters and configurations and wire thickness. Venturis can be made to your specific designs. .
Precision Metal Pressings and R&D.
We have a fully equipped tool room and access to R&D facilities to design and assist solving our customers’ needs in a professional and cost effective manner. Specific metal pressings to customer requirements are also offered.
